Born in Lisbon, he graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra in 1996. After completing his general internship at the Coimbra University Hospitals, he began his plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery internship at the São José Hospital in Lisbon. Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery at the Hospital de São José in Lisbon. GLUTEOPLASTY
The right surgeon for buttock augmentation makes all the difference
Buttock augmentation can be performed under general anaesthesia or sedation and local anaesthesia. The post-operative period for this type of surgery can vary depending on the technique used. Normally the patient can leave the same day or spend the night in the clinic. You should wear a compression garment (shorts) for an average of 4-6 weeks. You can't massage the gluteal region for 4 weeks, but you should do lymphatic drainage in the anatomical regions from which you have had fat removed.
- Increasing the volume of the buttocks and altering their contour can be done using the following techniques:
- Fat from your own body (excellent technique for enlarging the buttocks and hips, with the advantage that the fat belongs to the patient)
- Buttock prostheses (indicated for patients without enough body fat for buttock remodelling)
- Buttock and body fat prostheses (should be used when there isn't enough fat, the sagging is severe, or when patients want to augment the buttocks and hips simultaneously)
- Hyaluronic Acid (minimally invasive technique, performed under local anaesthetic, which should be used in patients who cannot undergo surgery)
