Gluteoplasty
Buttock Augmentation Surgery
The buttocks have a central position in the human body and are fundamental to a youthful and athletic body contour. Over the years, the buttocks “sag” and lose their convex shape, which is replaced by the more rectilinear shape of ageing. The aim of this surgery is to restore the posterior contour of the human body to its youthful shape.

Augmentation of the buttocks with fat or “Brazilian Butt Lift”
The volume of the buttocks can be increased and their contour altered using fat from your own body.
It is an excellent technique for augmenting the buttocks and hips …. when the sagging is not severe, you can get great results. Its advantage is that the fat is a biocompatible product of the patient, without any foreign body reactions, and it can be performed more than once.
It is a surgery with a very high rate of satisfaction, transforming liposuction of the human body into true liposculpture, where fat gain is highly effective. It is one of the fastest growing surgical procedures worldwide.
Surgery
The procedure is performed under general anaesthesia or sedation and local anaesthesia.
It will take between 1h and 2h30.
Post-surgery
The patient leaves the clinic on the same day, wearing a compression garment.
No massage can be carried out on the gluteal region for 4 weeks and lymphatic drainage must be carried out in the anatomical regions from which the fat was removed.
Patients can return to their socio-economic life 10-15 days after surgery.
The results will be evident 3-4 months after the surgery.

Buttock augmentation with prosthesis
Buttock augmentation with prostheses is becoming very popular all over the world and is highly satisfying for patients.
This surgery is indicated for patients without enough body fat for buttock remodelling and/or very pronounced sagging, where buttock prostheses and/or buttock lifts are necessary.
It’s a safe surgery as long as it’s performed well, so it requires the surgeon’s experience to avoid complications.
Surgery
It is performed under epidural or general anaesthesia.
It lasts one hour.
Post-surgery
The patient is discharged the same or next day.
The patient leaves the clinic wearing a compression garment (shorts) for 4-6 weeks.
During periods of prolonged sitting, the patient should sit on a “soga” or float in order to avoid continuous high pressure on the operated anatomical region.
The patient can return to his or her social and professional life 7 days later if he or she does not have a manual labour job.

Buttock augmentation with fat and prosthesis
This surgery uses the two best techniques for buttock augmentation.
The results are excellent and, in my opinion, will be the future of increasing the volume and changing the contour of the buttocks.
This surgery is becoming increasingly common and should be used when there isn’t enough fat, when there is severe sagging or when patients want to enlarge their buttocks and hips at the same time, since buttock implants don’t enlarge the hips, only fat grafting does.
Surgery
It is performed under epidural or general anaesthesia.
It lasts 2-3 hours.
First the fat is harvested to prepare it for infiltration.
In my clinical practice, I place the prostheses and only then mould the buttocks and hips with the fat.
Post-surgery
The patient spends one night in the clinic.
Leave the clinic with a compression garment (shorts), which you wear for 4-6 weeks.
Lymphatic drainage should be carried out in the anatomical regions where the fat was harvested.
Returning to socio-professional life will take 10-15 days in non-manual professions.
The final result will be visible in 4-6 months.

Buttock augmentation with hyaluronic acid
Is a minimally invasive technique that should be used in patients who cannot undergo surgery or to complement previous surgery.
It is a technique that improves the contour and treatment of cellulite in the buttocks.
It’s a costly procedure if you use a large volume, because the product is expensive. In this sense, it should be used in well-selected cases, so that the results are what patients expect.
Surgery
It is a technique used in the office, under local anaesthetic, without interrupting patients’ professional lives.
Post-surgery
Sports activities should be avoided for 1 week.
