Liposculpture
Body-shaping surgery
Liposculpture is the most commonly performed cosmetic surgery in the world.
It consists of removing fat from where there is too much and replacing it (fat grafting) where it may be lacking, so that we can sculpt the human body and obtain the best possible result.
In my clinical practice, I associate liposculpture with other surgical procedures.
It is extremely common and popular due to its good results, and should not be used alone in patients with severe skin laxity.
The better the quality of the skin, the better the result of liposculpture.
Surgery
You shouldn’t liposuction more than 5-8% of your total body weight.
The surgery is performed under local anaesthesia and sedation or under general anaesthesia.
It lasts from 1h to 2h30.
The patient leaves at the end of the day or spends the night in the clinic, depending on the volume aspirated and the anatomical areas involved.
Post-surgery
The most important indications are
- Use of compression straps;
- Moisturising the skin;
- Apply ice to the most inflamed areas;
- Lymphatic drainage.
The patient can return to their professional life on average a week later.
